Fear Doesn’t Have To Be A Four Letter Word – Overcome Fear, Conquer The World, And Live Your Remote Work Dreams.

Don’t let fear be a four letter word that crushes your dreams.

Fear is more than a four letter word to way to many people; it is a paralyzing force that holds them back from their dreams, aspirations, and best selves.

This fear comes in many forms, fear or failure, fear of what others will think, fear of what others will say, and even fear of success. The common thread is fears ability to paralyze and stun to complete inaction. And inaction is the enemy of progress, success and fulfilling your dreams.

Fear often lurks close by to its four letter cousin, failure.

Most fear is driven by failure. Failure should be viewed as a normal and necessary path on the road to success. The key is to fail fast and fail forward. Failure needs to lead to more fearless effort instead of inaction.

Fear and the Remote Worker.

Remote Workers and Teleworkers have a greater opportunity to fear and a greater ability to overcome fear. Some common fears include;

1. What if my employer says no?

2. What will my coworkers think?

3. I’m scared to go out on my own and freelance, contract, start a business, or? (Enter your aspiration here).

4. What if I don’t like it?

5. What if I do like it?

6. How will I stay motivated?

7. What about jealousy?

8. What if I have to go back to an office again?

Remote workers and Teleworkers have a greater tolerance toward risk, and thus deal better with fear.

Three Quick Steps To Overcome Your Fears.

1. Acknowledge your fear

You don’t have to be Superman (or women) to just flat out admit you are scared. You need to acknowledge your fear so you can effectively deal with it.

2. Accept Your fears

Now that you have acknowledged your fear you can accept and embrace it, so you define it, and it does not define you.

3. Conquer your fear

Finally, conquer your fear by doing what you are scared of anyway. Scared to leave your desk job to start freelancing? What’s the worst case scenario? You take another desk job if it doesn’t work out. Even if you fail, you won’t necessarily spend the rest of yours days eating cheap cat food out of a van down by the river.

Boldness = the antidote to Fear and Failure. Dream big, think big, and act big.

Even more effective than the three steps outlined above is being bold in all that you do. Boldness is the destroyer of Fear and Failure.

Action Item.

Go kick fear in the butt and do something this week that scares you silly, and don’t be afraid to fail.
